Secrets Of The Studio

Secrets Of The Studio

Variety of hardware

From the creation of a song to the finishing touches, an uncompromising process. From vintage to the latest models, digital to analog. From the texture of "that era" to the high-end feel and high-precision digital processing, it's all perfect.

Solid maintenance

Just having vintage equipment does not make it truly valuable. We will bring out the best performance by performing thorough repairs and overhauls of the equipment.

Distributed Processing

To achieve high quality results in digital processing, well-designed software and high computer performance are necessary. In this studio, sound is pursued through distributed processing by three computers, each with its own role.

Variety of hardware

If you make 90's sound, go for 80's and 90's equipment.
If you make 00's sound, go for the latest digital equipment of the time.
If you want modern sound, go for high-grade.
The more equipment you have, the more choices you have.

Main Equipment

Ones written in Bold had serviced. Ones written in Italic are not always wired.

Solid maintenance

No device has eternal life

We do not live in a dream world where we can get all our equipment brand new. And equipment ages as well as we do. It is difficult to trust equipment from the 20th century without servicing it.

In this studio, of course, used equipment can be disassembled and repaired, by replacing old electrolytic capacitors and other components with those for audio and power supplies, quality, reliability, and potential.

Because it's analog

  • Is the belt loose?
  • Have rubber parts lost elasticity?
  • Does the grease indeed act as a lubricant?
  • Rotation is a very important factor in record and tape recording and playback. Lack of maintenance will show up as wow, flutter, and other sonic fluctuations. The performance of a well-maintained machine will be better than a poorly maintained high-end machine.

    Distributed Processing

    Performance and compatibility

Three computers are linked via dedicated software. The master computer can seamlessly use the other two computers.

Today, a 64-bit music production environment is almost mandatory, but until the late 2000s, 32-bit was the mainstream. In this studio, by linking 32-bit and 64-bit environments, all 1990s legacy and 2000s software is integrated to the latest production system. No compromises are made in order to use good software and hardware from the past in the modern age.
